Role overview:

The Account Manager, and wider account management team, manage the relationship between the client and the agency.

This Account Manager role is responsible for supporting the Account Directors on 2 household name brands, ensuring the smooth running of projects with the scope to be involved with further new projects/clients as they arise.

They need to develop effective working relationships with client contacts, and all the key functions that go into creating the agency’s advertising output. They will get involved with solving problems, attending meetings, drafting internal and external communications, and documenting progress on various agency projects.

Key attributes:

  • Keen interest in advertising, business and creative communications
  • Great organisation and time management skills with experience in managing multiple projects
  • Confidence to present ideas to clients in a clear manner
  • Strong attention to detail with a good eye for design, and proofreading
  • Budget management skills ensuring campaigns are cost-effective and demonstrating ROI.
  • A good problem solver who finds solutions and is able to deal positively with challenges or setbacks
  • Curious about the client’s business and sector using this as insight to guide projects and briefs
  • Keen to get involved with new and organic business opportunities
  • A team player with a great personality.

Understanding of digital and social channels including PPC SEO, social platforms and the role of websites

Key responsibilities:

  • Building good working relationships with client and agency contacts.
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the client account, including issuing invoices, timing plans, estimates and client contact notes.
  • Reviewing and developing creative work
  • Writing projects and creative briefs
  • Organising a variety of meetings, including room bookings, catering, technology, transport and personnel required.

Who you work alongside:

  • Internal: Account Management team; Creative team; Digital team; Planning Director; Human Resources and Finance.
  • External: Client Marketing team; Other agencies in the client’s roster e.g. Media, Public Relations; Regulatory bodies and New business contacts.
  • Reporting to Account Director and the Head of Finance on account profitability and contracts.
  • Attending client briefings and gathering relevant data to support the development of communication strategies and creative briefs in response.
  • Preparing materials for presenting and selling creative work.
  • Supporting the development of creative work by documenting client feedback and attending creative review meetings.
  • Monitoring project deadlines and budgets, identifying and communicating potential changes that may be required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of meetings, decisions and next actions.
