What do you love about your job?

Creative artworking - getting stuff ready for print! I can design, artwork and retouch. All the skills needed to create the perfect ad. I love all aspects of my job, I love the work (usually), the social side of Refinery and all the people I work with. I also love payday! 😊

Tell us a bit more about you

I live in Failsworth, Manchester. I married Jenna (my better half) in 2016 and we have two girls, Matilda (16) and Delilah (14). I know, I don’t look old enough! We have another little girl named Coco, our Covid puppy. 🐶 I’m a Manchester United fan - I was a season ticket holder until the the football became unbearable, bring back Sir Alex!

What were you up to before you joined Refinery?

Before Refinery I did some bar work at a local pub (The Eight Bells) whilst studying at Salford University. I got my first job in advertising in 2003 at a company called Connectpoint, where I first met a young Nick Bradshaw. After being made redundant in 2010, I went freelance for almost 3 years, working all over - The Chase, Manchester United and Refinery to name a few. I was offered a full time position at Refinery in 2012, which suited me as we had not long moved into our home and I needed the stability of full time employment. I’ve not looked back since. It was here I was reunited with an older Nick Bradshaw!

What’s an interesting fact about you?

I met my wife on a lads holiday in Benidorm in 2007, is that interesting? I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting a few Man Utd legends in my career - Sir Bobby Charlton, Dennis Irwin, Bryan Robson…
