Buffing up Chelsom’s brand identity for a website refresh.
The Challenge
Chelsom is a trusted global leader of opulent lighting design with over 75 years’ experience in the industry however its branding was becoming outdated. Refinery were challenged with updating Chelsom’s brand identity and website to reflect the luxurious quality of its lighting products.
The Idea
To elevate Chelsom’s brand identity, we worked together to create a new brand toolkit including a sophisticated colour palette and a modern, minimalist semi-serif typeface. Our design-led direction helped to enhance Chelsom’s high-end product photography while translating its rich brand history into a contemporary, future-focused space.
The Execution
Refinery restructured Chelsom’s web content to create a new, modern lifestyle site with movement and animation for a more engaging user experience. We also created new functionality with a customisable section and the ability for users to create moodboards to save for later. The enhanced structure and clean, contemporary aesthetic of the new site allowed Chelsom’s lighting to take centre stage.
