Making Manchester Arndale the destination for shopping IRL this spring summer.

The Challenge

With so many people still working from home and the popularity of online shopping still high, Manchester Arndale were experiencing less footfall in the centre. Refinery were challenged with creating a fashion-first spring summer campaign positioning The Arndale as the destination for fashion retail in Manchester to encourage young visitors to shop IRL.


The Idea

Refinery created empowering, fashion-focused, video and stills to promote the fact that everyone can be their authentic self in Manchester.

You can be yourself. Unfiltered. However quirky or eclectic your style is, you can find it in the Arndale.

The Execution

To keep this campaign as authentic as possible, we used real people from Manchester to star as our models. Each model was shot in a location they would visit around the city in an outfit true to their style. Combining striking visuals with attitudinal headlines, we created a number of still and video assets for out of home, Metrolink and The Arndale’s social and digital channels.
